4 night stay. What can we say but. Owner Pete and Helen were really welcoming though not over bearing at all. Fabulous room. Well worth 5 * Excellent morning breakfast. Continental and tradition and then some.. . . Totally sets you up for the day. Small private bar / fridge with multiple stocked affordable beers / drinks. Sun terrace / garden to the rear to relax, read a paper and have a drink is etc. Free homemade evening cake ( awesome) is a lovely touch and also fresh milk. All in all 10 / 10 from us.
Would Recomend this fantastic please to everyone absolutely spot on every department we were that impressed we booked to go back. Jackie and Dai Morgan.

The owners are very welcoming. The jacuzzi is a great touch, however the pool isn't very warm at all. Would definetly stay here again. It's in a great location. 15-20 min walk into town down a hill, or less than a 10 min drive into town. It costs about £5 by cab for one way. The rooms have a unique character about them with very comfy beds. The range of food in the morning is fantastic with a fruit salad and cereal on offer. You can choose from a full English breakfast and pancakes and couple of other options. They have a bar with a great gin selection too!
Fabulous place, fabulous building, fabulous hosts. What more can I say. Oh yes a fabulous breakfast made to order and served with a smile. Ian and Craig are fantastic hosts with an eye for perfection. Weather ruled out my use of the pool/hot tub but both look inviting. Just 2 minutes walk from the town and some very nice eateries

Disappointing.....visited previously and was very impressed by the food; we both had burgers which were the best we had ever had anywhere so decided to go back and try something else from the menu. I had beef lasagne which was very lacking in sauce so very dry albeit very flavoursome, served with chunky chips and side salad (both good). My husband had the large fish and chips which also tasted good but he was disappointed with the portion size of the fish (not large!). Also whilst at the bar he noticed quite a few people had beer tokens. When asked at the bar about how to get beer tokens the waitress said you had to pay for a four pint pitcher and then you get your fourth pint free. At this point my husband was buying his fifth pint so asked if he could get the offer retrospectively as we hadn't paid our bill at this point to which she replied yes you can for the pint you have just ordered but giving it was 10.30pm he would not have ordered at this point 3 more pints to get the offer! On settling the bill with another waitress I mentioned our disappointment regarding the drinks offer and she said the offer is for locals really who come in every night and you get a loyalty card....We asked how to get a loyalty card but again was told they were only for regular customers only. Yes we are not local but we are on holiday here and visit several times a year so a little shortsighted of this establishment to not offer the same incentives to everyone. I would have thought that in this economic climate all pubs would be doing whatever they can to keep their customers! Also conflicting advice from 2 members of staff regarding the drinks offer!
Enjoyed some lovely pub food in a great relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend the salt beef burger.

Good pub and restaurant in beautiful surroundings. Nice range of beers and a good choice of food from the menu. Friendly staff rounded off the whole experience. Can get busy so would advise booking a table in the restaurant.
Lovely venue, and staff were great. Food was good, not the best I have had but still good. I was amazed how busy it was but that's a sign of a good pub.

We were really pleased upon discovering this pub - uncrowded on a Wednesday evening. No TV, only low volume background music (late 60s - early 70s). Great pub meals. My wife had the local crab and avocado, followed by the local scallops. I had the plaice and shrimp with steamed vegetables: all excellent. Wine is very reasonable by the bottle. Service was friendly. Lots of interesting memorabilia on display. Complimentary WiFi. Luncheon service closes 14:30 daily
I went there recently with my wife on holiday. Lovely quaint old worldy bar leading to a larger restaurant. Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend it 😀

Excellent. Zoe made us feel very welcome. Having been coming to Babbacombe for nearly 15 years at least 3 times a year to visit family this is one of the best places we have stayed in. We will be back.
It was clean and comfortable. The wifi connection worked well. I enjoyed the cliff top railway. There are a number of places to eat and you can go for walks. There is great views of the sea.

Great B&B in Torquay Hosts are wonderful, very friendly & know what they're doing. Slightly off the main drag of b&bs, so quiet, but walkable to the beach & town centre or there is a regular bus from outside the building. The room was Clean, tidy, good size with a comfortable bed. Usual facilities. Breakfast was wonderful, the cooked breakfast was not the usual cheap sausages & bacon one expects is such places but very good quality. Many other options along with a very nice looking fresh fruit bowl
A fantastic place to stay! Rooms are very nice, beds are ultra comfy and everything is exceptionally clean. They were very accommodating with our breakfast requests. Bob, Leslie and team clearly take pride in this place, highly recommended.

We have just returned home after spending 3 nights at Avron House. We had an amazing time. William & Andrew always make us feel very welcome (3rd year staying at Avron House). We cannot fault anything. Room spotless with our own balcony. Breakfast delicious, freshly cooked & lots of choice. William & Andrew are very friendly and always on hand to give ideas of where to explore in the area. Location for us is ideal because it's within walking distance of Babbacombe & Torquay. We would definately recommend staying at Avron House. Diane & Dave Tewkesbury
First class welcome and service. Room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed for part of Easter and the small touches like homemade Easter biscuits and a small box of chocolate eggs was a lovely thought. Would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere quiet, clean and friendly accommodation to stay that is in the Torquay district.

Great food, great location. Super clean. Wonderful hosts who made our week most enjoyable. Would recommend to all. Thanks so much Jayne and Paul for everything. Kay and Sheena
Lovely and clean. Loadsa breakfast and couple who run it really nice.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Beautiful place. Lovely views. Clean. Friendly staff. Has entertainment for children and an indoor swimming pool but we've not used them. There is entertainment at night also but again have not used it. Have had meals in the bar and grill there, food is always very good. Would highly recommend eating there. There's a good range of accommodation which is clean and has the basics. We have stayed here twice now once in an apartment which, although dated, was clean and had an amazing view. Really loved waking up for breakfast and enjoying the view. Also stayed in one of the new caravans at Easter. Which was fantastic but missing the view the apartment has. Heating wasn't working when we arrived but was fixed quickly meaning the van was lovely and warm for our stay. We're looking to return for the summer holidays and would definitely consider returning next year as well. It is hilly but hasn't affected us too much due to our choice of accommodation. The road to get to the camp isn't great but we use our car to drive to and from the campsite which overcomes this but I think I would still stay here if we didn't have a car.
We stayed in the apartments and had an amazing time! Everything is conveniently placed, the set up of the park next to the terrace bar was great as my son could play with either me or my husband and the other could sit with our baby. The evening entertainment wasn't amazing but wasn't bad either and my son mainly wanted to go in the arcade (which staff were lovely there!) So no big deal. Reception were very helpful, swimming pool was warm and the food was so good (highly recommend the steak!) We loved the area, not many easily accessible beaches nearby but Paignton beach was a brilliant day out so would recommend there too 😊

Great week at site. A bit of bother, but the staff very helpful and understanding. Corrected any problems that occurred. Staff very friendly.
Great site, good activities on offer and close to the coast. Very good District team.
Orestone Ln, Daccombe, Newton Abbot TQ12 4ST, UK – 01803 328294
Lovely and clean site, lots of room to pitch up and can turn up whenever and pitch up wherever. Lovely views and not much of a drive to local beaches and towns. Facilities are brilliant with showers, washing machines, washing up area and a freezer. Would highly recommend and will definitely return in the future. Also very reasonable with price very happy with our stay.
We love it here the no hook up.. But we don't mind as we only stay 4 days max..at a time. The owner comes see if you need any fire wood each night for your pit fire and has chat with you. Kids enjoy playing in fields it's very reasonable can't wait go next week end again
